DESCRIPTION:
Charles Hour, Paris, for Bigelow, Kennard, & Co., Boston, crystal regulator, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven pendule de Paris movement with Brocot escapement and compensating pendulum in an oval form glazed gilt brass case with cream colored enamel dial with arabic numerals and blued steel hands.
CONDITION:
The brass case retains much of its original gilding on the lower half. The top of the case has turned dull brown. All four curved beveled glasses are perfect. The porcelain dial -- signed by Bigelow and Kennard -- is in excellent condition. Nice double-vial pendulum. Light oxidation on the original hands. The movement bears the "JUST" logo that belonged to Charles Hour. The movement retains a bright polish.
